Biography

Amalina Kohli Dave is a paper conservator from Delhi, India, and has been associated with Recanati e Restauro since 2020 as the International Projects manager, and working on coordinating the summer training courses. She is an independent consultant, and works with museums, libraries, archives, and public and private collections. Her particular focus is building capacity in low-resource areas and working with high-risk collections. She is currently working on a fellowship examining the intersection of documentary heritage conservation and human rights, working with Recanati e Restauro on “Preserving the past, safeguarding the future: protecting cultural heritage at risk in Gaza through restoration and community engagement” in collaboration with CISS - Cooperazione Internazionale Sud Sud and University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS) Gaza funded by the British Council, is guest faculty for conservation training programs, a member of ICON, IIC, ICOM-CC, and IASC, and an advisory board member on the Mariwala Health Initiative.
