Biography
Fabrizio Della Seta is Professor Emeritus of the Department of Musicology and Cultural Heritage of the University of Pavia, Cremona. He is author of the “Critical Edition of the Works of Bellini”, president of the “National Edition of Verdi's Correspondence and Documents” and member of the Editorial Board of “The Works of Giuseppe Verdi”. His studies have encompassed the History of Music from the late Middle Ages to the Twentieth Century, with particular interest in the history of thought, dramaturgy and musical philology. He curated critical editions of works by Rossini (Adina, 2000), Bellini (I Puritani, 2013, winner of the prize “C.V. Palisca of the American Musicological Society) and Verdi (La traviata, 1997; Sketches and Autographs of the same work, 2001-2).
