As part of the PCTOs for schools, we are today at the Liceo Classico Terenzio Mamiani in Rome for the (re)reading room, a project based on the conservation and restoration of some volumes of the Terenzio Mamiani Fund preserved within the library of the institute. For the first time, students are confronted with the world of restoration, applying conservative techniques on paper supports and restoring functionality to the original bindings in a continuous alternation between theoretical and practical lessons. Special thanks go to Prof. Alessandra De Angelis and Dr. Tiziana Sallusti for making this initiative possible, and to our students for the great participation, commitment and dedication shown.
